Alien's First Shower

I don't know why I choose to call the squirming thing in my stomach an alien rather than a baby, though I suspect it is a bit of superstition.  I really want everything to go well and a new, healthy life to join us at the end of this...ahem...pregnancy adventure, but I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch.  (Well, isn't that expression rather apropos?)  Although, it may also be the case that watching my stomach rise and fall in odd places really does remind me of Alien...

But, I did say I would post new pictures of our alien's first shower as soon as I got them, and here is a sample!

One of the things I love about this restaurant is the decor.  It's fun to sit beneath a tree and not worry about ants or how I'm going to get myself back into a standing position.

We played a memory game.  The winner got seven correct, but for the majority of us, our memories apparently max out at six.

Another game we played involved trying to guesstimate the size of my tummy (around the apex, of course).  Wimmie and Kiriko were close, but nearly everyone else guessed way too large.  Mikey's was nearly double!!  Poor Jamie had the same size!

Alicia decided the 70's look was the way to go with her ribbon and Susan helped her model.

Steve attempted to "feed the bowl" while blindfolded.  This game was probably one of the funniest to watch.

And Brandon needed to wipe his hands after finishing his "Children of the Corn" installation for the "Build a Better Baby" contest, sponsored by Playdoh.

Incidentally, Jamie's idea of a better baby is one who can poo.  This one apparently had too many carrots.
