Baby Luaus

Our circle of friends was very fertile in 2011, so 2012 has been (and will continue to be) filled with many baby luaus.

In May, we attended Logan's superhero party at 3660 on the Rise.  I wish we could have captured more of the caped crusaders, but as it was, we only got one masked man on film...

Dun, dun, dun!!  Super Liam!!

In April, we were invited to Dylan's party at the Waialae County Club.  There were no secret identities to hide this time, so the cameras were rolling!

Liam spent some time playing with the lid to his food bowl.

Then we watched the lions as they came to bring the birthday boy (and his friends!) some good luck!

The lions asked Dad to help out, but it was tiring!  Here's Dad taking a quick break.

And then he jumped right back in!  He's the guy in the back.

There's the Dad lion!

An impromptu family photo.  I think the fuzziness may just be the hot lion breath...and Liam, what are you looking at?

The cake was beautiful and the little cupcake bites were delicious (or so I was told...they were only for the kiddos!)

Dad and Liam posed with one of Dad's co-workers and her son.  I guess boys never grow out of the funny faces.

Incidentally, the salt and pepper shakers had what looked like the Star Wars Rebel insignia on them.  That was fun.

Liam left pooped, but happy.  Thanks for the invitations guys!  You sure know how to throw a bash!

Visitors for Easter Weekend

This year was Liam's first Easter.  He was still too young to really understand much, so no egg coloring or hunts, but we did get him a little "basket," complete with some things for summer and a snack.

Lions and bunnies and PJs, oh my!

Wow!  Look at this bounty!

Hmm...percussion?
But wait, that camera you have looks mighty interesting...

What?  I wasn't trying to grab it or anything!

Incidentally, we had a visit from more than just the Easter Bunny.  Those little red bumps are the waning stages of roseola, one of those bits of childhood wretchedness that many kids suffer through.  It's marked by a high fever that lasts about three days and then an all over body rash accompanied by fussiness and a loss of appetite.  The fussiness wasn't that bad.  Perhaps it was the Easter Bunny's generosity...

Thanks Easter Bunny, bok bok!!

March Madness

To make up for the dearth of posts during Session, here is a little peek at what Team Monkey was up to during the madness that is March.

We did a little playing...

What?  I nevah do nothing!

And a little sleeping...

Liam's frog friend makes a great sleeping companion...

...and pillow.

Sweet Potato Everywhere!

We have regularly introduced Liam to new foods.  Some he tolerates, some he relishes, and one, apparently, we can only get him to eat if we mix it with something else.  That one is Okinawan sweet potato.  Perhaps it's because his first experience back in January was so traumatic?

Sweet potato, you say?  Maybe if I eat it with my hand...

No, no...what about hand and foot.  Does foot make it better?

Seriously?  Can it get any worse?

Oh man!  What just happened?!

So now we just mix it with apple or pear and he tolerates the purple potato.  Funny, he kind of likes the orange variety.

Incidentally, when we picked him up from the sitter today, we found that Aunty Jessie had spruced up his hair...

Oh yeah, get your rock on, Liam!

Happy Sine Die!

The Session has at last come to an end and after one last, large project, Team Monkey will dive into the Interim with relish.  Which also means more updates!  Wondering what we've been doing all this time?  Here are some pictures from as far back as January -- Liam has truly become a Capitol baby!

Playing in Aunty Wendy's office.  Liam can't wait to get his hands on that HRS!

Eating in Dad's office.  Stop getting distracted by the work!

Sleeping!  That pack and play in Dad's office was a good idea!

Dad and Liam in Mama's office.

Mmmm....ball....tasty!!  Thanks for the treat Aunty Susan!

Why are you so happy Liam?  Because it's Final Decking and that means it's almost over?  Yay!

That's right, now there's time to play!  Happy Sine Die to us!
